This notice describes what the Delta Novel website (www.deltanovel.com) stores in your browser. It is written from what the site actually does and is updated when that changes.
The public pages set no cookies
Browsing the public pages of this site — the homepage, the services, platform, tools, tracking, rate search, contact and legal pages — sets no cookies. The site uses no analytics, no advertising and no tag manager, and loads no third-party scripts. There is therefore no cookie banner to accept or refuse.
Browser storage used by the chat assistant
When the chat assistant is enabled, it keeps two values in your browser’s local storage (not cookies, and never sent to third parties): a random visitor identifier (dn_copilot_visitor), so that a conversation can continue when you reload a page or come back later, and whether you last left the chat panel expanded (dn_copilot_expanded). Neither value is created until you use the assistant. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Shared loading-plan pages
The label pages of a shared loading plan (links that start with /p/) remember your label print settings in local storage (dn_loadplan_labels_v1), so that the next print uses the same settings. Nothing else is stored.
One cookie for staff
Delta Novel staff who sign in to the operations console (/admin) receive one strictly necessary session cookie, dn_console_session. It is set only after a successful staff login, is not readable by scripts (HttpOnly), is sent only to this site (SameSite=Lax), travels only over HTTPS in production, and expires after 12 hours or on sign-out. Visitors to the public site never receive it.
Map tiles
The route maps on the tracking and rate-result pages load map images from CARTO (basemaps.cartocdn.com). As with any image loaded from another server, that server receives your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the tiles. This site sets no cookie for it.
Your choices
Every browser lets you view and delete the cookies and site data stored for a website, and block them in advance. Deleting this site’s data ends a chat conversation on this device and resets label print settings; the public pages work the same with or without storage.
